Ham and Asparagus Breakfast Bake

I love cooking for my family. Especially breakfast. There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning to the aroma of a warm breakfast. Weekdays are busy with work and school, so it’s quick and easy recipes like this that I lean to. Sure, there are plenty of days we just eat a bowl of cold cereal, but it’s nice to change things up a bit and make something savory and delicious for my family. 

My kids love this breakfast bake. The eggs, ham and cheese win them over every time. I haven’t met a kid who doesn’t love ham and cheese. The asparagus is an added bonus of vegetables and nutrients; and they gobble it down with no questions asked. It’s nice to know I’m sending them off with bellies full with good food, so they can focus on school and not a growling stomach. 

What I love most about this dish is how quick it comes together. It uses Pillsbury® Crescent Rolls as the crust. I love how convenient they are instead of making homemade dough. They save me from spending too much time in the kitchen, and more time on my kids getting ready for the day ahead! 

Start with preheating your oven to 400°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and press the crescent rolls into the bottom and ½-inch up the sides of the pan.

Spread the diced ham and asparagus evenly over the crescent dough. 

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and ground mustard. Pour mixture over the ham and asparagus.

Cover with cheese. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until eggs are cooked through.

Let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
