Easy Apple Fritters

Doughnuts are going to be the death of me. Just the smell of freshly fried dough takes me back to childhood trips to my favorite doughnut shop. Now, when I can’t get doughnuts off my mind, I turn to this trusty DIY apple fritter recipe, which takes all the guesswork out of making perfect doughnuts at home.

Easy Apple Fritters

All you need is one large Granny Smith Apple and one tube of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits and you’re pretty much in the money. The rest of the ingredients are pantry staples.

First, dice your apple and then toss with ¼ a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Cut a pocket into each biscuit, kind of like opening a bun. Then put a large spoonful of apples in the center.

Seal, and fry in oil heated to 350°F until golden brown—about 2 minutes per side.

Make a quick glaze with 2 cups powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons melted butter and 1 tablespoon of milk. Drizzle warm fritters and let cool slightly before eating. I told you it was easy!
