I’m having such a hard time writing about these out-of-this-world delicious chocolate-strawberry rolls. Why, you may wonder? Well, for starters I’m a little ashamed to call this a recipe. It’s ridiculously simple. I’m not kidding. We’re talking three ingredients and 30 minutes from start to finish, baking time included. How can you beat that? And to top it off, the rolls are filled with one of my favorite combos - chocolate and strawberry. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy one of these rolls for breakfast while sipping on a hot cup of coffee?
Sometimes I wonder how I survived until now without making these awesome rolls before. How?
These chocolate strawberry rolls are for those mornings when you don’t feel like slaving in the kitchen waiting for your dough to rise (not only once, but twice). No, these rolls are the fastest version of those rolls. Forget about those, please!
With the help of Pillsbury Crescents, these rolls are a breeze to make.
There’s just one little thing that you may want to do when making these rolls. Double the recipe!
I know there are eight crescents in a can, but if your family is anything like mine, all the rolls will disappear faster than I can type “chocolate strawberry.”
I’m pretty sure by now you’ve guessed what you need to make these rolls: crescents, chocolate chips and strawberry preserves.
Remove the crescents from the can and unroll them. With a teaspoon, spread a little bit of the strawberry preserve over each strip of dough. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, gently pressing the chips into the dough. Starting from one end, roll the dough strips making sure the chocolate chips stay well tucked in.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. While the rolls are baking, brew yourself a cup of coffee. Once the rolls are baked, grab the paper or a good book and enjoy these super-fabulous chocolate strawberry rolls.
