My family loves appetizers. Every New Year’s Eve, we get together, and everyone contributes 1 or 2 appetizers. We have also been known to have a big Sunday dinner where appetizers serve as our entree. There is just something about bite-sized foods that makes me happy!
I’m usually pretty good at coming up with savory appetizers. But for some reason, sweet appetizers are a little harder for me, especially when I am going for easy.
But these Cherry Streusel Flatbreads are so simple! Not only are they an amazing appetizer, they would also make a great addition to a brunch buffet. We have even had them for dessert. They are so easy to put together and taste out of this world. They have become a new go-to recipe for me.
All you need is a Pillsbury® refrigerated thin pizza crust, cherry pie filling, flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla.
Open the pizza crust and cut it into 6 equal pieces. Place the pieces on 2 greased baking sheets.
Top each of the pieces with the pie filling.
In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats and cinnamon. Cut the butter in with a fork or a pastry cutter.
Sprinkle the streusel on top of each of the flatbreads. Bake them until the dough is cooked through and lightly browned.
