These are THE ultimate party pinwheels. I mean, it can’t get much better than bacon and cheese rolled inside a buttery crescent. They’re my go-to when I want to impress without a lot of work. Here’s just how easy they are to make.
- Ranch dressing
- Cheddar cheese
- Green onions
Make this super-simple and start with a Crescent Dough Sheet. But, if you can’t find them in your store, simply press together the seams on your classic crescents.
Take your crescent sheet and cut lengthwise into two large rectangles. Press out a bit into a larger size, about 12 x 4 inches. Spread 1 tablespoon of dressing over each rectangle. (You’ll be using 2 tablespoons of dressing total.)
Next, sprinkle a couple of tablespoons of crumbled bacon on top. If you’re using bacon bits you’ll use about 1/4 cup total, or 4 slices of freshly cooked bacon. Don’t forget the cheese! You’ll use about 1/2 cup total. The recipe calls for shredded cheddar, but your favorite cheese or cheese blend will work! And, finish with 1/4 cup sliced green onions.
Starting with one short side, roll up each rectangle; pressing the final edge to seal.
With serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 slices; place cut side down on ungreased or parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for 12 to 17 minutes—or until edges are deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
