Wonderful! I add a can of drained french style green beans, diced green pepper, and a bit of Italian seasoning. Then I bake it in a casserole dish.

My family absolutely loves this recipe! It is requested every week. The only change I made was subsituting onion powder for the fresh onion. You might want to make extra as this gets gone fast!

This one is a keeper! My 3 kids loved it and had seconds and that doesnt happen often. Usually if one likes it the other ones doesn't, so when they all three like it I have to add it to the keeper list. The only thing I added was a little bit of garlic when I cooked the meat. Very tasty.

We call this "Upside down Pizza" at my house! It is a favorite and in steady rotation! My 4 year old and 18 month old always make "happy plates" when this is served! Very quick, easy, and almost always have all ingredients on hand! I have added such things at parmesan cheese and garlic salt to the crust before baking, included mushrooms and diced tomatoes, and changed up what cheeses I use! You can't mess this up!

I have been making this recipe for over 30 years now and we all love it. My now grown daughters named "Favorite Casserole" when they were little and it was always requested when they got to pick dinner. I believe the original recipe called for monterey jack cheese and I still like that best. The original also called for a pack of dry pasta sauce mix and water and when that was no longer on available, I used taco seasoning mix and water. Nice little spice added. Still our favorite!

I make this all the time, my family loves it! I add basil, garlic, organo, rosemary, onion powder, sale & pepper to the meat mixture (season to taste). I also use shredded italian 4-cheese blend instead of mozzarella. Adding a sprinkle of oregano and grated parmesan cheese to the crust before baking is also a nice touch. This receipe is easy and easily customizable.

We absolutely loved this! It is so easy to make. I always have pre-cooked ground chuck in the freezer so I defrosted some and then everything else went together so easily. I added just a tad of Italian seasoning to the meat mixture but otherwise followed the recipe. Served with Italian green beans. I will add that it really should rest a while before serving. It will not only taste better if you aren't burning your tongue but it will have a chance to set up and cut easier. We only had one small piece leftover and it's got my name on it for tomorrow's lunch :-) YUM! 5 stars!!!

I made this recipe for my Bunco group. It easily slices up into 12 servings. It was a hit!! I didn't change the recipe at all.
