I made this dish with Crescent Rolls, eliminating the step of thawing out biscuits. Also if you use non-stick aluminum foil on cookie sheet instead of parchment paper, no soggy crust on bottom, just delicious crust. So pretty of presentation I took a picture!

I made this with Pillsbury Crescent rolls, and it saved the step of thawing out biscuits. Also, if you use ReynoldsWrap non-stick foil instead of parchment paper, there is no soggy bottom. Absolutely delicious and will make again for special occasions. Turned out so well, I took a picture!

I made this for my husband and I and it was great. I used the cresent rolls, it was good but i think ill try the biscuites next time. I also used low fat goat cheese and fresh mushrooms and wow . The dish was awesome and I was able to cut down on the fat by using the low fat cheese.

I just made this for my boyfriend and we LOVED it! He never had Gorgonzola cheese before and was questioning it, but loved the way it was served. I served a side of warm spiced pears to compliment the pungent taste of the cheese. Viola! (it is much easier to ease into Gorgonzola this way)

My husband and I absolutely loved this dish. It was probably an intermediate cooking level. I didn't use the tenderloin steak due to price, but used something similar in size; however it was slightly chewy and would recommend sticking to the tenderloin. The steaks came out of the oven medium to medium well and were quite tasty. I also used the crossiants someone else had recommend, but found they were a little too buttery. I also substituted fresh mushrooms for the jarred. I will definitely make this again as it's definitely an impressive dish.

This should only get top ratings! Love the whole concept of the "Beef Wellington". Never had Gorgonzola before and will probably substitute with another cheese (herb goat cheese?)next time...but overall a great, elegant dish that will really impress everyone!

I don''t know why this recipe has received low ratings! It''s so easy to make & the Gorgonzola-Mushroom sauce was wonderful!I used Crescent Rolls instead of Biscuits though. I''ve made other wrapped foods with the Crescent Rolls, and they always turn out very buttery, flaky & delicious, as did this! This has quickly become a family favorite! Great simplified recipe for an elegant meal! We were licking our plates!
