cup light mayonnaise or salad dressing

teaspoon grated lemon peel

  • 1 In large bowl, combine apples, pears, dates and lemon juice; mix well. Add bananas; stir gently to mix.
  • 2 In small bowl, combine all remaining ingredients; blend well. Add to salad; stir gently to coat. If desired, serve in lettuce-lined bowl.

I served this salad on Christmas morning and it was a hit. Everyone went back for seconds. The allspice was the secret ingredient that made it almost taste like eggnog. It was quick and easy to make. It also was very inexpensive since all of the fruits were seasonal.
