After cookies are baked and cooled, give them character with purchased frosting. Use it right from the container or try one of these quick ideas:
• Colored frosting: Tint vanilla frosting with food color.
• Icing Glaze: Place 1/2 cup purchased frosting in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on HIGH for 10 to 15 seconds or until glaze is smooth; stir. Quickly spread over cookies and allow to dry.
• Marbelized glaze: Spread cookies with one color of icing glaze. Quickly drizzle another color on top; marble the two colors with a toothpick.
• Easy icing lines: Place 3/4 cup purchased frosting in a heavy resealable plastic bag. Snip off a tiny tip of one corner; close the top and gently squeeze the frosting through the hole to make thin lines, squiggles, etc.
