Ingredients

pound dried great Northern beans (2 cups), sorted and rinsed

cloves garlic, crushed

cups water

teaspoons dried basil leaves

teaspoon salt

cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil

can (2 1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained

Directions

  1. 1 Mix all ingredients except tomatoes and olives in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. 2 Cover and cook on high heat setting 4 to 5 hours or until beans are tender.
  3. 3 Stir in tomatoes and olives.
