Weekday Calzone

I created Weekday Calzone with the help of Pillsbury refrigerated Pizza dough and a tasty filling. This dish wins points with my children every time I pack it in their lunch box!

Ingredients

1 - Pillsbury® Refrigerated Thin Pizza Crust 11 oz

oz sandwich sliced pepperoni

oz ricotta cheese
10
oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
5
oz Italian Herb & Cheese cooking creme

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 In a bowl, mix ricotta and cooking creme.
  • 3 Add spinach and mix thoroughly.
  • 4 Unroll pizza dough and put on a large baking sheet.
  • 5 Spread ricotta mix down the middle of the dough.
  • 6 Fold long sides of the rectangular dough together in the center. Fold ends over.
  • 7 Press to seal and cut 3 small slits in top to vent.
  • 8 Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Yum! These calzones are really good! I made some with pepperoni and some with cubed cooked chicken breast instead of the pepperoni. Both were excellent! I served them with tomato sauce to dip.
