I have a question for anyone who might know: I am encountering a problem in trying to find Lemon Sherbet for this recipe. All I can find is Lemon Sorbet. One is dairy based and the other isn't. Will is hurt this recipe to use Sorbet instead of Sherbet?

I could not find lemon sherbert so I substituted a coconut pineapple ice cream- cut down on the tartness and was a big hit at bbq party.

I couldn't find Lemon Sherbet so I substituted everything "Orange" - flavor was perfect and not tart. Went over big with company - very refreshing.

Mine turned out really yummy! I added 1/2 cup sugar put in the freezer for at least 6 hrs. I also dusted the individual servings with powdered sugar. You can't let it sit out for any period of time or it will melt. Serve immediately after cutting and put the rest back in the freezer.

This was horrible. It was so tart no one could eat it and it thawed so fast it was a soupy mess in not time. This is definitely a recipe for the trash.

Like Icantpick I also took this to a gathering, & it was too soupy.I guess if you want to drink it with a straw rather than a fork, this one is for you. I may try it again, & omit the frozen lemonade & maybe try Lemon Sorbet instead.I think the frozen lemonade makes it too watery. I made the Sangria one as well & it turned out perfect.

I agree cjdocsam, I love lemon, and the tartness is has a distinct flavor, I was actually gonna try lemon vodka the first time. The original was a great idea, and the 2 cups of yogurt and coolwhip seems like a winner.....try it with a blueberry drizzle or blueberry garnish...WONDERFUL!!

Seemed a bit to tart - remade it with 2 containers of yogurt, lemoncello instead of vodka and added about 2 cups of koolwhip. Liked it a lot better but would probably cut the lemonade and add more lemoncello to replace it.

I was terribly disappointed when I took this to my quilt group, and much to my horror, it thawed completely on the way. Liquid pie is not a great hit.
