Upside-Down Cinnamon-Apple Coffee Cake

cups chopped peeled apples
can (12.4 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
cup pecan halves or pieces
tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
cup packed brown sugar
tablespoons corn syrup


  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. Spread 1 cup of the apples in pie plate.
  2. 2 Set icing from cinnamon rolls aside. Separate dough into 8 rolls. Cut each roll into quarters; place in large bowl. Stir in pecans and remaining 1/2 cup apples. In small bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Pour over dough mixture; toss gently to combine. Spoon over apples in pie plate.
  3. 3 Bake 28 to 38 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Place heatproof serving plate upside down over pie plate; turn platter and plate over. Remove plate.
  4. 4 Remove lid from icing. Microwave on High 10 to 15 seconds or until of drizzling consistency. Drizzle icing over coffee cake. Serve warm.
