It seems there's no cinnamon in this recipe add cinnamon and other spices to it to give it flavor. If a recipe seems bland look to see what is missing if it needs spices add it but don't try it once and give up on it add something to make it better it's always about improving on something that can be made better. I did it with a recipe I found online instead of apples I used fresh pears and made a cobbler with them and in the recipe there was no cinnamon or ginger so I added it to the batter and poured it into the baking dish then I made a caramel type sauce to go over the pears I then added t

Delicious. I wasn't really sure if they were meant to be a breakfast item or a dessert; after tasting them, I realized they could be either!
If you give it time to cool a little in the ramekin and then flip it, it will look as good as the picture. I know that because I ate two in one sitting.

It looks great and from the reviews I thought it would be great but, I wasn't really impressed. It was good but not great. I wouldn't recommend making. I felt like it needed something else it was a little bland for me.

I would like to try this recipe except to take the biscuits and cut each one into 6 pieces and toss with 2T melted margarine, 3-4T Sugar and 1t cinnamon. Then pile over the apple mixture.

I tend to modify recipes based on what I have in the fridge and pantry and what I know we like. Instead of 4 granny smiths, I had 1 red delicious. I had Pillsbury regular buttermilk canned bisuits. I added a little cinnamon to the caramel mixture. Since the regular bisuits are smaller than the Grands, I used two in each ramekin. (I made a little extra caramel mixture without the apples and poured it between the two layers of biscuits.) It was absolutely delicious!! My husband and sons absolutely loved it! :-) Thanks for such a great and easy recipe.

Having spent the better part of the last month finding the perfect sweet roll recipe for Easter, this recipe seems fine if you do not have the time to make the dough yourself (really only takes about 30 minutes (plus rising about 2 hours...but did you know you can start your rolls the night before and refrigerate them until morning, and they still taste great?!) to make homemade dough, and that is if you are slow like me.) The topping looks to be way too sweet for only 8 biscuits (most of the recipes I found this month have about half the sugar/caramel content called for here, and they were plenty sweet enough.)

This recipe is great - quick, easy and a crowd pleaser every time. I replaced the Grands biscuits with the round Crescent rolls that are new and, wow!, even better. The little change actually made them rival Williams-Sonoma's rolls from their website...but at a fraction of the price!
