Great! I made it with non-fat sour cream (since I had some already open) and honey-baked ham instead of bacon (since one of our Thanksgiving dishes was ham). I used Progresso crumbs, and I added some Cajun seasoning. It was wonderful and I'll be making it again.

I made this literally twice in a weekend! Once for me and my husband and again for a church potluck. It is so easy and the best part- COST EFFECTIVE! Sweet potatoes were on a drastic sale so I stocked up and was asked several times where I got this recipe from! Thanks for the great dish!

I rate this as excellent. However, since I need a gluten free side dish I will be using my own corn flake crumbs.

I agree that this recipe looks good - I have heard you can use a little soy sauce in place of the bacon and it will give a similar flavor.

This recipe looks good! What would be a good vegetarian substitue for bacon?

This was wonderful. I've never liked "sweet" sweet potatoes, and this recipe offered a savory alternative. The bread crumbs are nice but are really not necessary. I also used bacon drippings in place of the butter.

This is so delicious. The smoky flavor from the bacon against the sweetness of the potato must be experienced! I shared it at work and everyone loved it. Also very easy to make. I'll be making it a lot in the future.

I like the idea of adding the bacon to the bread crumb topping and will try that next time. I also used gently sauteed leek instead of the onions.

This recipe is WONDERFUL, I made it for my husband and he constantly asks for it now. I replaced the green onions with two shallots and sauteed them in a bit of the bacon drippings and 1T of butter.

This was just as good as it looks.
I have never really liked sweet potatoes before I tried this recipe.
We had it at Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas dinner.
I would suggest adding more bacon though:)
