This recipe for "Tuscan Splendor Spinach Braid", creates a quick, simple result. It results with a magnificent Spinach Braid, giving many smiles to healthy appetites. You will get many happy people if you create a Ceaser Salad or a Crescent Chip Taco Salad - this will acquire smiles. I made this bread for 3 holiday parties and at one there was a bakery stuffed bread on the buffet also. This bread was gone and not so w/the other. Those who tried it loved it ! Certainly, not everyone likes spinach and sundried tomatoes but you could make up your own combination for the filling.

I made this for New Year's Eve...it was wonderful and all my guests enjoyed it! It's a definate keeper. In the future I'm thinking of mixing the tomatos into the spinach and adding a few pine nuts (pignoli)to it and using a little more of the goat cheese. Thanks for a great recipe.

I really liked this recipe. It was easy and with these winning ingredients, how can you go wrong? This was the first time I used the Crescent dough and it was very convenient and produced good results. I used non-oil packed sun dried tomatoes (reducing the fat a bit) and they worked great.
One comment: when I made this I didn't realize that you cut the slits before you wrap the filling, then you wrap the strips around the filling in a pretty pattern. Silly mistake, but I thought I'd point this out, just in case.

To kaylewallen: Tapenade is basically finely chopped olives mixed with olive oil and a few other ingredients. Just do a search for "black olive tapenade" and you will find tons of recipes. And, yes, you could use the regular perforated crescent dough and pinch the seams. I am going to get the stuff to make this today!!! I can already tell it's a 5!
