This crustini really stunning. I was intrigued by the use of ingredients in this recipe. I agree with everyone else, it was WOW! The creamy cream cheese with the herbs, spinach and tomato really compliment each other nicely. I must say, I think you picked the most perfect cheese to add on top. You taste just a hint of the smoke flavor. The crunch, you expect it from the crisp crust but, the sunflower seeds on top are a pleasant surprise. Adding the pesto to the crust was really a great idea! The flow & flavor of the filling was carried through to the crust. EXCELLENT! This definately makes me rethink how a pie crust can be used. Very simple to put together. I just wish my herb garden was in bloom. I would have loved to use my home-grown basil on top. This is a keeper recipe and will be made again and again! Good luck to you. Great thinking outside of the box!

Incredible flavor! Great use of Italian ingredients. Smoke provolone is the perfect cheese for this! Nice twist with the sunflower seeds and pie crust.

This is my 3rd time making it. Just as easy & delicious all 3 times. I've found my new comfort food. I could eat this breakfast, lunch & dinner!

Refreshing flavors! Really easy to prepare. Easy to eat. Warm cream cheese & pesto with the spinach just rocks! I would have never thought to put pesto with spinach. The crunch from the seeds and crust are outstanding. It's a burst of flavor from start to finish. Everything I wanted in an appetizer. Excellent idea with the pesto added to the outside of the crust. I will definately make this again and again.
