Well, I have to admit. I'm the mother. But still--I'm so proud of my daughter and the wonderful recipe that got her to this level! And, I do know I'm biased, but I also know this is the best coconut cream pie in the WORLD! (And might I add, for those boo-hoo'ers out there--you didn't really describe much that was really wrong, which makes me think you didn't actually make it? HA! Busted.)

I have to admit, I'm a bit skeptical about things with coconut. It's never been my favorite. However, after a friend who is friends with the creator urged me to try it, I might have a different opinion. YUM! I can't quite place my finger on the part I liked the best, but I have decided I definitely like it with all the coconut toasted--oh, and the rum in the whipped topping. Divine. I may actually make it myself!

We made this pie last night. It was too much work for what you get. Just seemed like the same old thing. Taste was ok but not very original. Would rather buy a pie like this then make it.

I have had the pleasure of eating this pie several times and NEVER been dissapointed. My sister has taken it to her office and everyone eats it so quickly that there's no left overs to clutter up the fridge! It's my opinion the the dissapointed bakers are not doing something right.

I saved this recipe to my favorites because I love coconut pie. I could not wait to make it...as it turns out I was very dissapointed.

I baked the top three pies in the contest and I did not really like this one. It was to mushy on the bottom crust. The topping is usually taller on pies like this one. I dont really enjoy this pie.

An island get-away for your taste buds! The addition of coconut to the crust peeked my interest and glad I opted for this one!! 6 people over for dessert and there wasn't a crumb left over

Follow the recipe on this one ... I almost deviated so glad I didn't! Got rave reviews at Thanksgiving!

This pie is INCREDIBLE. I wasn't sure about the rum but do yourself a favor and follow the recipe you will not be sorry!

Oooh, Tripple Threat, you are so delicious. You are so coconutty and creamy and yummy. You are my favorite pie!
My family always has a couple of cream pies at Thanksgiving, in addition to the traditional apple and pumpkin pies. So the Tripple Threat was my desert contribution this year. And it was definitely a success - went faster than the chocolate cream pie. And I already have requests for the recipe!
