These are really good and very easy to make. Quite rich though. I had to bake them longer than was called for, the brownie mix was still liquid. It's a good recipe to have kids help with.

No thank you. These are dry and the layers fall apart when taking them out of the pan. It didn't look anything like the picture. We do not believe in alcohol so I skipped the sauce. I guess it makes all the difference since none of my family liked these, including a kid who eats everything. We prefer soft cookies but by the time the brownie finally was done, the cookie dough was hard as a rock. The Oreos stuck to my teeth and pulled out a filling. We are on an extremely strict budget so for us they are expensive to make by the time I buy all the mixes. I would rather have had the 3 des

Just OK. The flavors do not meld as well as I anticipated (a la chocolate & peanut butter). Oreo creme filling turns gooey from cooking. Did not top with bourbon sauce as we are not alcohol consumers.

Took these to a neighborhood party and everyone just LOVED these. And yes, I used Oreos but didn't break them up.......laid them out in rows 6x4.

For the reviewer that asked about calorie count.... check out myfitnesspal.com - Recipe Nutrition Calculator. There you can enter all the ingredients for any recipe and it will calculate calorie, fat grams, etc. You can even enter Name Brand ingredients to get exact numbers.

tamaragordon - there is rum extract that you can find by the baking supplies - that might work as a subtitute for the bourbon. rachmom41 - you do not break up the cookies and yes they are oreos. Good luck to both of you!

Looking forward to making these however we do not keep alcohol in the house. Any thoughts on what can be substituted for the tablespoon of bourbon? Is there an extract or flavoring that might work?

These were yummy! I made them for Thanksgiving and everyone loved them. I only had 1 package of choc chip cookies and 1 package of peanut butter, so I did a checkerboard pattern with them in the bottom. But it turned out great. I am sure there are tons of calories if the weight of the pan was any indication!
