This is a great feastive idea! I used basil insted of seasame seeds. They went great with the tomato soup!

So Smart! I suppose they are a bit time consuming, but really a nice presentation when it's your job to bring the bread! Had a gumbo at my mother in laws and all she wanted me to do was bring some sort of bread. The Christmas tree shape was spot on. Very cute! And of course, very good,after all it was bread sticks!

Cute idea. I added blue food coloring to the egg wash which gave the 'trees' a light green color. I also suggest stretching the breadstick a bit before trying to shape it.

The dough was hard to shape and was quickly losing its shape before being placed in the oven, so I didn't get many that looked like the picture. Won't make them again.
