Topsy-Turvy Apple Pie

Brown sugar and pecans make the crust special. After baking, the pie gets a twist: it's turned upside down onto the serving plate, transforming the sticky bottom crust into a moist, nutty topping.

I have made this recipe many times and consistently get rave reviews! I love the looks I get when I walk in with this beautiful pie. I try to always keep the supplies on hand for a last-minute get-together.

This pie is easy to make and SO YUMMY! I have taken it to several pot lucks and EVERYONE wants the recipe! It is a Thanksgiving favorite!! I use apple pie filling but take the apples and slice them a bit thinner than what comes in the can. I just sprinkle the apples with a little extra cinnamon. Makes making this pie even easier to make than before!

This pie is extremely good. Just thinking about it makes me want to bake it. There are no crumbs left and it is so easy to make when using Pillsbury Pie Crusts.

I made this apple pie and entered it in our county fair. It took 1st prize!!! I couldn't hardly beleive it. They had an auction later and it brought $80 that went to a little girl with cancer. How wonderful and amazing. My friend helped me choose this recipe last year and told me to make it and enter it. She was so happy when we won. :)

My son has been bugging me to make this pie and I am so glad! It is great! Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

This was very unique and quite easy for a novice pie baker. I followed the recipe to a tee. Slightly tart, but that was just the granny smith's i used. At first I thought that there wasn't enough of the corn syrup/brown sugar mixture, but if you take your time shaping it to the bottom of the pan, it is the perfect amt. My advice is to flip the pie onto the serving plate immediately after it comes out of the oven. I had no trouble w/ anything sticking. Perfect!!!
