I used crescent rolls and filled them with the tomato pesto mix. Much easier!

We made these last weekend and instead of dicing tomoatoes up we used a can of diced tomoatoes and they were wonderful....many people got the recipe:)

Strangely bland. I used roma tomatoes because they were cheap; possibly a more flavorful tomato would help. But the basic idea is super, very easy to create your own fillings.

Family and friends loved them. I have a friend that is not big on tomatoes but still talked about how good they were. They were easy and most definately a re-do in our house.

My family and friends loved them! They were gone in 10 minutes! I was lazy and used canned diced tomatoes and a shredded italian cheese mixture and you couldn't tell the difference. My only suggestion is to double the recipe if you're serving more than 3 people.

These are delightful. I made them just to check it out because I love pesto and tomato. My husband and I had them for lunch and they were delicious.

My daughter made these great appetizers for us Christmas Day. They did not last very long as everyone ate them up in a wink of an eye! Excellent but perhaps they were excellent as she put extra love in hers!

The pesto I bought was too oily and it left a strong flavor behind, a bit acidic for my taste
