Tomato Basil Meatball Sliders

Ingredients

can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen® organic fire roasted diced tomatoes, undrained
1
can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy Parmesan basil cooking sauce
12
frozen cooked large meatballs (from 16-oz bag)
12
slider buns
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Small fresh basil leaves, if desired

  • 1 In 2-quart saucepan, heat tomatoes over medium heat 3 minutes. Stir in cooking sauce and meatballs. Cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 2 On each bun bottom, place 1 meatball and spoonful of sauce. Sprinkle with basil. Cover with bun tops.

Expert Tips

For a special touch, add some Parmesan cheese shavings to each slider.

Any small dinner roll or sandwich bun will work for this recipe.

If you are only able to find smaller meatballs, use 2 or 3 small meatballs per slider instead of 1 large one.
