For those that wrote in and had difficulty with this recipe, perhaps you should read and follow the directions more closely. Reading comprehension is important when you're following directions written by someone else. You should get an oven thermometer and make sure that your oven is working properly. You might also try brushing up on your baking skills with something simpler, like a cake mix. Pillsbury has several nice flavors. %0d%0a%0d%0aI've made these a couple of times now and they come out perfectly. Think banana split with toffee and caramel sauce. I'm something of a chocoholic so I'd probably go with a darker cocoa, but that would be the only thing I'd change. %0d%0a%0d%0a

These were very moist and delicious brownies! To the people that didn't have good luck with their first attempts at baking keep trying...these are too yummy to give up on! If at first we don't succeed, try, try again!

Absolutely wonderful and surprising easy to make. My husband and three boys loved the taste and finished off the pan in one night.

I thought these brownies would be fabulous . . . but actually . . . the flavors really didn't go together. I will say the taste improves after they've been chilled. You'd get better results with something simpler, for example, just some chopped nuts and chocolate chips.

I tried this as the neighbors get-together yesterday. The taste was o.k. The banana flavor made it taste a little odd. And the caramel, well face it, anything with caramel is going to taste good. The combination of flavors was not in harmony with each other. I don't see anything creative about this recipe. Just a box of brownies with a few added ingredients and some caramel thrown on top.

Perfect (although full of calories.) %0d%0a%0d%0aAnd so easy to make that I wonder whether the two reviews saying "I tried this and maybe I did something wrong" are trolls trying to influence the public -- I see a lot of similar reviews on other sites using almost exactly the same wording.%0d%0a%0d%0aMight you consider substituting Smucker's Special Recipe Butterscotch Caramel Topping for the "classic" caramel? It might intensify the toffee flavor...

Horrible. The bananas are really gross in this. I made this as a thank you gift and now I have to run out to the store again and get something else to make.
