I made these for the children (and young at heart) for Thanksgiving dinner. They were a big hit. A cute addition to the serving table. I had a little trouble with piping the orange icing neatly. I bought store made icing tube - next time will make my own icing and use Wilton decorating tubes. Would definitely make these again.

These came out absolutely adorable. Everyone loved them! Don't let the dough get warm because the cookies spread out more while baking and the turkeys get a little disfigured!!

My grandchildren loved these. I usd string licorice for nose and feet. They make a cute place setting for the kids at the thanksgiving dinner.

These are so adorable, but in the state where I live you are not allowed to bring in homebaked goodies to schools or daycares. So, I bought some store made sugar cookies, and my grandaughter and I made them for her preschool They were a hit...

Its a toss up if I made them again...They are cute and my niece had fun making them but we couldnt find candy corn, we couldnt find the mini chocolate to make the eyes and the nose/eyes were very difficult to do according the frosting recommended. We ended up cutting up Dots the candy for the feathers, used mini M&M's for the eyes and an orange gel for the nose/eyes. Next time I will be sure I can find all ingredients before picking a recipe to make with her.

My 4 year old loves to 'help' in the kitchen but normally becomes bored before we have come close to finishing anything. We made these for his preschool harvest party and he put the candy on all 40 of them by himself! They were adorable and are absolutely perfect for young helpers. We also added a 'gobbler' with red decorating icing and a red mini m&m's. Delicious!

Kids love these! I took them to the kindergarten class at church and to my grandson's school class. The cookies were a hit at both places. However, watch out after you assemble the cookies. The candy corn makes the top of the cookies heavy and if they are hanging (ever so slightly) over the edge of the rack, the top may break off. We had two turkeys with broken tail feathers.
