Teriyaki Beef Pocket Sandwiches

lb boneless beef sirloin steak (1 inch thick), cut into thin bite-size strips

teaspoon garlic powder
1/4
cup teriyaki baste and glaze
4
pita breads (6 inch), cut in half to form pockets

medium tomatoes, sliced

small leaves lettuce

Directions

  1. 1 In small bowl, mix beef strips, garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of the teriyaki baste and glaze.
  2. 2 Heat 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef mixture; cook 4 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and desired doneness. Stir in remaining baste and glaze; cook until thoroughly heated.
  3. 3 Fill each pita bread half evenly with tomato slices, lettuce and beef mixture. Wrap 2 sandwiches together securely with foil; take with you for an on-the-go dinner.
