MEATBALLS

lb. lean ground turkey

tablespoons unseasoned bread crumbs

tablespoons finely chopped green bell pepper

garlic clove, minced

egg white

drops hot pepper sauce

tablespoon oil

SAUCE

1/2
cup light ketchup

tablespoons brown sugar
3
tablespoons water
3
tablespoons light molasses

tablespoons lemon juice
2
tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2
teaspoon chili powder
1/2
teaspoon dry mustard
1/8
teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

Directions

  1. 1 In medium bowl, combine all meatball ingredients except oil; mix well. Shape into 16 (1 1/4-inch) balls.
  2. 2 In medium skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot. Add meatballs; cook until browned. Drain; return meatballs to skillet.
  3. 3 In small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients; mix well. Pour over drained meatballs. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Serve with cocktail toothpicks.
