Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2 packages (20 oz each) ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 16 burger buns, split, toasted

    In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add turkey and onion; cook 6 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until turkey is no longer pink. Drain.

    Meanwhile, spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In cooker, mix remaining ingredients except buns; stir in turkey mixture.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 5 hours.

    Fill buns with 1/3 cup turkey mixture each.

    Substitute ground beef for ground turkey, if desired.
