3/4 cups finely chopped onions

can (16 oz) chili beans in medium sauce, undrained

can (15.25 oz) Green Giant® whole kernel corn, drained

can (15 oz) Progresso® black beans, drained, rinsed
1
can or bottle (12 oz) light beer with lime
1
can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained
1
package (1 oz) Old El Paso® 40% less-sodium taco seasoning mix
Multigrain tortilla chips, if desired
Chopped avocado, if desired
Fresh cilantro sprigs, if desired

  • 1 Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, mix chicken, onions, chili beans, corn, black beans, beer, tomatoes and taco seasoning mix.
  • 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 hours or until hot. Serve with tortilla chips; garnish with avocado and cilantro.

I don't think all of the ingredients are written - the only liquid written is 12oz of beer -doesn't sound right.

The mention of beer with lime made me think of an alternative to buying several or more beers with the lime you might not normally drink. I would think if you had just a beer or can in the refrigerator, or you didn't even drink beer and had to buy one, that you could just buy a fresh lime from the produce area and squeeze in a tsp. or so of fresh juice to taste after pouring in the beer at the beginning of cook time. Adjust to your own taste at end of cooking time and add more if needed.
