Made this with ingredients on hand and it was fabulous. I substituted apples and craisins for the dates and raisins and Pillsbury's Crescent seamless dough for the puff pastry. I added some walnuts with the pecans and 1 tsp of flour to help thicken the juice from the apples when cooking. My oven usually takes longer than most recipes call for but this baked for only 17 minutes. Definitely will make this again and again. (My husband loved it too!)
