I've made this several times and it's always delicious and a winner! We do have family members that don't like the Mexi-Corn so instead of that I substitute an equal amount of regular canned corn. So simple! Don't need to drain the cans, don't need to make the cornbread ... just mix it all up thoroughly. It will be a little soupy but the liquid from the cans is why you don't make the cornbread first. I bake this in the oven at 350 degrees for about about 45 - 60 minutes. I start checking it at 45 minuites. Spray 9 x 13 Pyrex dish with PAM; pour melted butter in dish; pour in corn/cornbr

DELICIOUS! Two people in my house and it was gone in 3 days. Highly recommend it when you have company. Add about 1/2 bag of McCormick Taco seasoning. Gives it a little Mexican flavor.

I make similar dish. bag of frozen corn, can of cream corn, box of jiffy cornbread, an egg, a half cup of sour cream, a tablespoon of sugar, then I either melt butter in 9x13 pan and bake it at 350* for about 40 minutes till golden or melt butter in crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours. make adjustment according to your heat source. this is a family fav, there is never a leftover bite to be found.

This is reciepe that can also be baked for 45-60 min in a 350 degree oven. Use a 9 x 13 pan greased. I would drain the canned corn and then mix all ingredients together. You do not need to make the cornbread first.

Help? Do I fix the cornbread mix first? Do I drain the corn? I wish the recipe had more details.

I think I would follow it as it reads. I.e. I would not drain anything or mix the cornbread mix or anything unless the recipe says to! I imagine since its in a crockpot that any liquid will not boil off and will moisten all the other ingredients as needed.

In the middle of this recipe and the outcome doesn't look good. Are you supposed to make the corn bread mix before stirring all together? I did not and therefore there is no egg and no milk ... Superbowl is going to be a flop!

Made this for a potluck at work. I made a double batch and thought I would have leftovers... think again. There was nothing left. Everyone loved it including me!
