These were excellent. My entire family & friends love them. They are cheap & easy to make. I accidently put cinnamon in the solution you pour over the dumplings plus put cinnamon on top of the dumplings too. Love them even better that way. We eat them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Bland, was not as sweet as I thought they would be. The mixture of sugar, vinilla, water and butter did not thicken up.Did not like that. Cinnamon taste in mouth after eating. Will not make again. You have a lot of good recipes, but this is not one of them. I would use Pie crust next time.

Awesome recipe! I will definitely make this again. Everyone loved them. The syrup you pour over the dumplings is great. Make sure you use a really good vanilla extract it really enhances the flavor of the syrup. I would use a little more than a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to sprinkle on top of the dumplings. Thanks!

I though it was a great recipe. However I too put my own twist on this recipe. I added a little more cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg and little grated lemon peel and replaced the water with Grand Marnier Liqueur. I served them with a dollop of whipped cream. My company loved them.

I found it to be a good recipe..but added a small scoop of mincepie (ready-made) filling along with the butter in the core of the apple..with a bit more nutmeg grated on it, then sealed and baked...family thought it was great with vanilla ice cream; with a touch of cinnamon sprinkled on top!

Cut the apples up more and use CRESCENT ROLLS instead. I've made something similar to this for years using those. Delicious!!!

Was a good recipe -not great but good -I had to cut my apples to a smaller size to get the biscuit to fit over them but otherwise was a simple recipe that added with icecream or cool whip was enjoyed.
