INGREDIENTS

 6- to 8-lb fully cooked smoked bone-in ham
1/2
 cup packed brown sugar
1/3
 cup maple-flavored syrup
1/2
 teaspoon ground mustard
1/8
 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8
 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8
 teaspoon ground cloves
 Dash of ground nutmeg

DIRECTIONS

1 Heat oven to 325°F. Line shallow roasting pan with foil. Place ham, cut side down, on rack in pan. Insert ovenproof meat thermometer so tip is in thickest part of ham and does not touch bone. 2 Bake uncovered about 1 hour 30 minutes or until thermometer reads 135°F to 140°F. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Brush over ham during last 30 minutes of baking. 3 Cover ham loosely with foil and let stand 10 to 15 minutes for easier carving.
You can use a 4-pound boneless ham instead of the bone-in ham. Remember to reduce the baking time to 1 hour 15 minutes.
Set out a bowl of chutney, honey mustard or pineapple sauce to spoon over the ham.
