I make a similar version of slow cooker ham sandwich filling. I buy sliced ham at the deli and a good quality BBQ sauce. We prefer a smoky sauce, hickory or mesquite. Mix it with the crushed pineapple and the juice. Separate the slices when adding to a greased slow cooker. Pour sauce over and let it cook on low 4 - 6 hours, until bubbly and steamy. If it cooks too long, the meat will fall apart when serving. Serve with a veggie & pasta salad.
