cup packed brown sugar

cup Dijon mustard

cup chopped green bell pepper

  • 1 In 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except buns.
  • 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 to 4 hours.
  • 3 Remove cover from slow cooker. Increase heat setting to High; cook, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes longer or until desired consistency.
  • 4 To serve, stir ham mixture well; spoon into buns.

Expert Tips

If your butcher can't grind the ham for you, use a food processor to finely chop the ham instead of grinding it. Or finely chop the ham with a chef knife the night before to save time in the morning.
