Made these as one of the desserts for our family get together and everyone loved them (including my husband who usually doesn't like dessert bars). I forgot the sea salt, but no one knew the difference. They were great!

I haven't tried these but look delicious....I can't have milk products, I wonder if 1T water would work instead of the milk?

I tried this recipe...with a minor variation. Instead of going to the trouble of making the caramel mixture, I used caramel sundae topping. It worked beautifully! I loved the blend of salty, sweet, semi-sweet, creamy and crunchy. They were a hit with all who tried them...except my wife...who said they could have stood to have been made with a lot less chocolate because to her taste the semi-sweet chunks were overpowering. Also...I'd suggest a large, cold glass of milk to go with them!

I have had success substituting evaporated milk for heavy cream in many recipes. I think it would work here.

They look absolutely amazing, but I am unwilling to try them because of the 1 Tbl. whipping cream. Could there be something else I could use as a substitution?
