Swedish Chocolate Love Cake

g butter

dl sugar
3
tsp bakingpowder
2
tsp vanilla sugar
2
tbs cocoa
1½ dl milk
4½ dl flour
glaze:
50gr butter
3tbs strong coffee
1tbs cocoa
2
tsp vanilla sugar
3½ dl icing sugar
coconut flakes

  • 1 Melt the butter. Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy.
  • 2 Add baking powder, vanilla sugar and cocoa and whisk rapidly together with electric mixer.
  • 3 Then add milk, flour and the melted butter and whisk gently together until smooth.
  • 4 Spread the batter in a pan, about 40-32 cm.
  • 5 You either had spread with margarine or dress with parchment paper.
  • 6 Bake at the bottom of the oven at 225 degrees C (440F) for about 10-15 minutes.
  • 7 Make the glaze: Melt butter. Stir in coffee, cocoa, vanilla and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • 8 Spread glaze over cake while still hot. Sprinkle with coconut flakes.
  • 9 Let stand and stiffen. Cut the cake into square pieces.

I just added the receipe in European grams and cups ... but hope you can find a good converter on the web. (Fx. http://sweaboston.org/receptmm_swe.html) This is a page I use to use when I bake American recipes.
