This was FANTASTIC. I had no idea that I would crave a second helping on this. My husband went back for thirds! We did not put in the olives and used a 1/2 pound of ground turkey and half of the taco seasoning packet. We served shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes on the side. We poured salsa on top of each piece. We also served it with a side of Mexican rice. We will definitely be making this again!

Absolutely delicious and easy to put together; my sweetie who claims he can't boil water, made this for our dinner! I may add some salsa to the topping next time; it's definitely a keeper.

This taco pie was delicious. Used a Pillsbury pie crust and prebaked it a little first. Omitted the corn chips and added re-fried beans as the first layer. Probably used more than a cup of sour cream, too. Topped it with Taco cheese mix. Will definately make again. Thank you Pillsbury.

I cooked ground turkey with onions then added taco seasoning and green peppers. Pressed the crescent roll dough into the pie plate and added a thin layer of refried beans, topped with the crushed tortilla chips, then added the taco meat mixture, shredded cheddar and topped with more crushed tortilla chips. Cooked for 20 minutes. Served with tomatoes and sliced olives on top and salsa for those who wanted it. It was YUMMY! Whole family loved it.

This is really good and a family favorite. You can do it without the corn chips, too, they aren't entirely necessary. It's a matter of taste. We put fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions on top. Can use salsa on top, too. And it's very easy for a single Dad to whip up!

I make this in a deep dish pie plate. The crunch of the crushed taco chips really add to this dish and separate it from other "Taco Pie" recipes. It makes a lot, I am cooking for 2 so we eat it 2 times from each pie! I often top it with a black eyed pea salsa from the back of a Bush's black eyed pea can.
1 can Bush's Best Black Beans, drained (can also use blackeye peas)
1 can white shoepeg corn, drained
1 can diced tomatoes (basil, garlic, oregano flavored)NOTE:I use plain ones and add a little cumin.
1 can Rotel® tomatoes
8 oz. Italian Dressing
Chopped onion to taste * I use a whole, small red onion.
Chopped jalapeno to taste *I used pickled ones, chopped.
Mix all ingredients together and marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 ½ hours. Serve with tortilla chips (lime flavored are the best).

We don't use the olives in ours and use the reduced fat crescent rolls and ground turkey instead of beef. We also do not cook sour cream. We use it, salsa, and avocado as a topping. I cook in a deep dish pie plate. We usually make two and no one knows they are eating a low fat, low calorie dish. We also use baked chips instead of the regular. And finally, our house loves it with the McCormick's mild taco seasoning mix.
