Super Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Comfort food doesn't get much tastier--or easier--than this. Convenient refrigerated pie crust and canned soup make it so easy.

I use regular cream of chicken soup and put in some canned new potatoes. My family loves this better than the store bought frozen pot pies!

I used cooked, chopped chicken, frozen peas and carrots, thawed, a can of Cream of Potato soup, and some finely diced onion and a little salt and pepper along with the ready to bake pie crusts. Serve with applesauce on the side for an easy and complete meal.

I had leftover peas and carrots from the previous night's dinner that I threw in to add extra veggies and use up leftovers. I also added a little ground black pepper. Turned out great!

I found the chicken pot pie soup at a Schnucks store (southern Indiana). Try your local grocerty store instead of the big box stores like Walmart and you might have better luck finding it.

I just bought a case of Progresso Pot Pie soup thru Amazon. No stores carry it in my area either.

@Akheppding try using Campbell's Cream of Chicken soup and add diced chicken strips. Also you can write to Progresso and tell them that they don't carry @ any stores in your area perhaps they will send it to your home or have your local store order it.

Instead of covering the edge of crust with foil strips to prevent excessive browning, try this much easier tip: Cover the entire dish with foil and then cut out a large whole in the center, leaving the edge completely and EASILY covered!

This was good however I felt it needed a little more seasoning so I added 1/4 teaspoon Thyme,1/4 teaspoon of Oregano and one med glove of garlic. I also add more chiken to the recipe. It is quick and easy.
