OMG. I just made this for my husband's birthday and we LOVED it. Very light and tasty. Easy to make and I will make it again and again.

This Strawberry pie is amazing! The almond paste gives it such a unique taste. I made it 3 different times last summer and every crowd was asking about the 'secret' in the crust! YUM!!

Mom liked; I didn't. Pie was tart. Could have been several factors; such as, not able to find almond paste in grocery store. Made from www.ochef.com/575.htm recipe, subbing almonds with pecans - not overly impressed with outcome. Used Apriva sugar rather than granulated. Did use powdered sugar in topping, but it tasted flat. Total outcome was disappointing.

It was wonderful! I made it for Mother's Day and although my mother didn't find it sweet enough my husband and I loved it. I think the stuffed crust would be wonderful with a variety of fillings, not just strawberry.

My family did not find it that tasty. They didn't like the double crust, and I found that the almond taste didn't really come out enough.

Love it! Tastes like Bakewell tarts from England. Definitely use fresh cream.
