I did like another person on here did and made it into 2 regular pies. This was the best sweet potato pie I've had in years. The lady that use to live next door to me made sweet potato pies that I dearly loved, but she has been gone for some time now and this recipe comes right up to hers. My family gobbled these pies right up. Thank you Pillsbury...

I made this for Thanksgiving. I have never made this kind of pie before. Everyone raved about it. I will make again for sure. My grandaughter thinks I'm the best cook ever. Thank you Pillsbury.5 stars it won't let me give. *****

I don't have a tip, but curious - couldn't pumpkin be used in place of the sweet potatoes?

I am going to use crescent roll dough instead of pie dough. I like the texture better and well, I have 4 cans in the fridge!

I am not a baker. But this recipe looked delish. Can you or do you all think we could use fresh sweet potatoes instead of canned?

Also...since you have to cut the pie crust to fit the rectangular pan you have to press the seams together because you are using a round pie crust in a different size dish.

In the recipe it specifically states "1" pie crust. You will use only 1 pie crust and cut it to fit the specified dimensions.

Greenbakerman seems somewhat stressed. GMV - I have used these piecrusts. However, since I dont' use them often (usually just at Thanksgiving), and since we clearly do not have the experience of greenbakerman, I would have asked the exact same question. :)
