Streusel-Topped Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

There's hardly a tastier way to start the day than with warm coffee cake dotted with tiny chocolate nuggets and topped with crunchy streusel. Mmm!

Ingredients

Coffee Cake

1: egg

2/3: cup milk

2: tablespoons margarine or butter, softened

2: cups baking mix

1/2: cup sugar

1/4: cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Streusel Topping

1/3: cup baking mix

1/3: cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4: teaspoon cinnamon

1: tablespoon margarine or butter, melted

Directions

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. Beat egg in large bowl. Add all remaining coffee cake ingredients except chocolate chips; mix well. Beat 30 strokes with spoon. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into sprayed pan.
2 In small bowl, combine all streusel ingredients; mix well. Crumble mixture over batter.
3 Bake at 350°F. for 28 to 33 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes before serving.

I was looking for some new recipes to make for my Husband to take for his morning break. The first time I made this recipe, I was real happy how quick and easy it was. It went in my recipe box and have made it several times since then. And it is absolutely delicious!!!!!!
