It was very very good! My kids loved it and they want me to make more! And to everyone that says that there too many calories or whatever, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF OR JUST USE LOW FAT OR LOW IN CALORIE INGREDIENTS OKAY?!? Geez

Regarding calorie count: they do make low fat or non-fat cream cheese, as well as the low fat crescent rolls and you can use the preserved fruit or a low sugar version of strawberry preserves.

For those of you complaining about the calorie and fat content of the recipe, did it ever occur to you to possibly use this as a branching off point? I wouldn't touch a fruit roll up with a 39½ foot pole, but fresh fruit would be amazing in this. If you don't like the recipe as it's printed, then find another one.

I can't believe that people are complaining about how unhealthy these are! It touts itself as a pastry people! How often are they healthy? Seriously! I can't wait to try it, but i think i'm using jam/preserves instead of the fruit roll ups!

I made this last night for the first time and substituted strawberry jam for the fruit roll ups and it was AMAZING. Definitely on the keep list. And it was very simple to put together

Is it safe to assume that those who have problems with the calories and fat in this pastry have never purchased anything from a coffee shop. In particular a certain chain that is just about every strip mall? The calorie count on their pastries meets or exceeds the calories in this item. In fact, the muffins are usually more calories than the doughnuts. I run into these 'reviews' on every recipe site to which I belong and it irks me just as much as the others who have already commented.

I would really love to read reveiws that are reviews. This recipe in NO way has any of the words "no-fat, low-fat, low calorie, or low sodium." So in keeping with the lack of ANY of those words - IF YOU WANT recipes that are then search on sites that specialize in those. Otherwise, keep the whiney remarks of this is too fattening, this is too sugary, this has too much sodium to yourselves. Okay, my review is this are very yummy and I am going to try it with my favorite jam (Marionberry) with a little buttery powdered sugar icing on top!

This recipe was awesome!! For the folks who reviewed this recipe based off nutrition how about modify them to fit your lifestyle..like low fat?? To the ones who want to read a review based on the taste: it was amazing! I also tried this recipe with blueberry and cherry fruit roll-ups! I used nature made fruit roll ups though.
