Strawberry-Almond Tres Leche

This delicious twist on the classic ultra-moist tres leche cake starts with convenient frozen biscuits.

Pillsbury™ Grands!™ frozen buttermilk or southern style biscuits (from 25-oz bag)
1/4
cup sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1/4
cup milk
1/4
cup whipping cream
2/3
cup sliced strawberries
2
teaspoons sliced almonds, toasted
whipped cream topping, if desired
  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Bake biscuits as directed on bag; place on cooling rack. Cool 5 minutes.
  • 2 Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix milks and cream until smooth; set aside. Place warm biscuits in 2 individual shallow serving bowls, cut sides up. Drizzle milk mixture slowly over cut sides of each biscuit; let stand 10 minutes to absorb.
  • 3 Top each serving with strawberry slices and almonds and whipped cream topping, if desired.
