Steak & Cheese Stromboli

Sauteed onions, green peppers and thin steak are smothered in mozarella cheese and baked to perfection in a thin crust.

Ingredients

1 - Pillsbury® Refrigerated Thin Pizza Crust 11 oz
1
small onion, cut in half and thinly sliced
1
small green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
4
Freezer style thin steaks (usually comes in a box with 7 steaks)
1 1/2
C shredded mozarella
Water for skillet while cooking onions and peppers
Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2 Saute onion and green bell pepper over medium high heat with a small amount of water in the pan until tender, about 5 minutes adding more water if necessary
  • 3 Remove veggies and set aside
  • 4 In same pan, saute thin steaks for about 1 1/2 minutes until no longer pink, stirring to seperate and slightly shred
  • 5 Return onions and peppers to the pan with the steak and salt and pepper
  • 6 Unroll pizza dough onto a large cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray
  • 7 Spread meat mixture evenly down the center of the dough leaving an inch or so on each end and top with cheese
  • 8 Fold both ends up over the meat mixture and then bring each long side to the middle, slightly overlapping
  • 9 Cut three slits in the top to vent and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown on top
