Colorful sweet bell peppers abound in farmers´ markets in the fall. Red pepper flakes add spice to this ravioli-based supper dish.

Ingredients

(9-oz.) pkg. refrigerated Italian sausage-filled ravioli or chicken and herb-filled ravioli
1
green bell pepper, cut into 3/4 to 1-inch pieces
1
red bell pepper, cut into 3/4 to 1-inch pieces
1
yellow bell pepper, cut into 3/4 to 1-inch pieces
3/4
cup purchased fat-free Italian salad dressing
2
tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1/8
teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps

  • 1 Cook ravioli to desired doneness as directed on package.
  • 2 Meanwhile, spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium heat until hot. Add bell peppers. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  • 3 Drain ravioli; rinse with warm water. Add ravioli to skillet. Stir in salad dressing, basil and red pepper flakes; cook and stir until combined.
