Spicy Chinese Chicken Tacos

white or yellow corn taco shells

boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into thin bite-sized strips

teaspoon grated gingerroot

small garlic clove, minced

tablespoons soy sauce

tablespoon honey
1
large green onion, sliced

teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

cups shredded lettuce

Directions

  1. 1 Heat taco shells as directed on package.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken, gingerroot and garlic; cook and stir 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. 3 Reduce heat to low. Add soy sauce, honey, onion and crushed red pepper flakes; stir to coat. Cover; cook 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4 Place about 1/4 cup chicken mixture in each taco shell. Top each with lettuce.
