Turn basic baked beans into an impressive side dish with a clever mix of frozen and canned beans, plus spicy sausage, prepared salsa, and premixed taco seasonings.

Ingredients

package (12 oz) spicy pork sausage

cans (15 oz each) baked beans, drained

can (15 or 15.5 oz) dark red kidney beans, drained

can (15 oz) black-eyed peas, drained

box (9 oz) Green Giant™ frozen baby lima beans

cup Old El Paso™ Thick 'n Chunky salsa

package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium heat, stirring frequently, until no longer pink; drain.
  • 2 In 3-quart casserole, combine sausage and remaining ingredients; stir.
  • 3 Bake uncovered 60 to 70 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
