I've made this before without the pop. Used 2 cups salsa (mild to hot, depending on how hot your family can take it). Just a normal packet of taco seasoning. I've used 4 - 8 skin off chicken pieces in total (not just chicken breasts - if frozen - just up the cooking time). You can add a bit more salsa if you have another piece or two of chicken. I put in the salsa and seasoning packet and stir (usually mulch up the sauce as I have a child who likes well blended sauce), then add the chicken and cook. I leave the chicken whole. We eat it with the sauce over rice Yum!

I have made this before except have not used 7-up used velvetta cheese instead and put it in at the last just to melt. Use with taco shells or burritos. As far as amounts it is to your taste and if you want it thick or thin. Just remember that when the chicken breast thaws out they have water in them also.

I made this and thought it was just okay. I was hoping it would be sweet and super yummy because of the soda in it, but it didn't do it for me. I put it in some enchiladas or something. I won't make it again.

Since starting my job, the slow cooker has been my life saver! Kudos to the submitter of this tasty, EASY recipe! I also bought a bag of frozen veggies and microwavable fiesta rice to make along with it. My family loved it!
