I have made this numerous times and it is always a big hit. I decrease the sugar to 3/4 cup in the Cream cheese and I use 2/3 cup butter in the topping. I always use low fat CC and I can't tell the difference.

Note:It may looked burned or too done at 30 min but it is not and will change appearance as it cools. I use a little less sugar in the cream cheese mixture and a little less butter/margarine on top (about 2/3 to 3/4 stick). Sooo goood!!

Use Pillsbury Crescent Roll Seamless Dough instead; it's a solid sheet without the seams so you don'y have to worry about the dough seperating at the seams.

It does not take a full hour to make these, if you know what you're doing and have the cream cheese already out. My top layer came over very puffy and flakey. Not complaining! It's very good and crunchy, but a little hard to eat in bar form, or cut. It was difficult to place the top layer of dough on the cream cheese and smoosh all the lines to connect. I didn't really care that much about it since I knew my friends and family don't care so much about presentation but more for the taste. Boy let me tell you, yum yum YUM! Buttery sweet cream cheese goodness. If you're on a diet.... you're screw

It says to " bake about 30 minutes or until the center is set", how do you know when the center is set?

Using the crescent sheets and spray butter will make it a tad easier. Also Mexican Vanilla instead of regular vanilla extract will make it over the top!

These were SO good! We added more cinnamon the first time. Second time we added peaches into the cheesecake layer. YUMMY!
